Tooth erosion is the dissolving of the surface layer of tooth substance when exposed to acids. These acids are not produced by harmful bacteria. Tooth erosion is not tooth decay. These acids are in fruit juices, soft drinks and stomach acid reflux. Promoted as health drinks, these are wolves in sheep’s clothing. Unlike tooth decay, all teeth are affected.
